Pre-Spidey jitters

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

Isn’t it fun to have a Nintendo Wii ? (Still hard to get, outselling the Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation by a factor 2)
Isn’t it more fun to know Spider-Man 3 on the Wii is going to be WAY COOLER than the PC/XBOX360/PS3 ? First of all, the Wii game was in development way ahead of the other platforms. More time to incorporate the Wii-mote will mean it’s gonna be more fun, but that’s not all. The game itself will be bigger, involving exclusive additional dialogue (from the movie stars) and storylines.
Watch the hilarious trailer here.

Tube-awards 2006

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

The Youtube Awards Show 2006. What a show that will be. Oh wait, there probably won’t be any show. Only bits’n’bytes invited and showcased. Anywayz, I went ahead to start a voting round here. After some non-motivating videos in the Most Creative section, I was about to give up. But I wanted to finish what I started, so I got through them all. And now I have found a really funny comic I probably wouldn’t have found out about were it not for Youtube.
Have a few good laughs here or here. (Besides, it’s pretty insightful too)

Make-over

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Usually, I have nothing against an updated lay-out. It happens all the time (‘cept here, I like to keep the same theme going, saves me HOURS and HOURS of work).
But now ol’ trusty IMDB decides to make a change too. And I don’t like it at all. Strange gaps all over the place, and everything is scattered (for instance, voting + grade is all the way at the right top).
What do you think ?

Ah well, guess I’ll be a http://former.imdb.com/ user while it lasts (it will be removed in the near future).

Paxilback

Monday, October 30th, 2006

While getting a YouTube account, and during the subsequent upload of a movie for a friend (why waste bandwidth at home when it’s free elsewhere), I started browsing through some videos. Then I came across this one, and it made my day. If you can change a horrendous song like Justin Timberlake’s Sexyback to something this hilarious (mainly the lyrics will floor you), you’re a genius in my book. Hell, you didn’t even have to pay (for say, a Weird Al album) to get this laugh. And the key is, you can watch this video over and over again, and still not get enough of it.

Don’t be a Culture Fool!

Sunday, September 10th, 2006

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Mr. T on TV (after all, The A-Team ended in 1987. Fans will be happy to know he’s going to do some kind of advice show, but it will air on little known cable channel TV Land), but with the internet and broadband connections and all, I stumbled upon a Culture IQ test hosted by this icon. Of course, it’s advertisement related (Comcast broadband services), but it’s still fun. Click here for the test.
This was my result.

Fairy tales

Friday, November 25th, 2005

A new ad campaign has started to raise more awareness concerning being an organ donor. I myself don’t care too much about those wrong assumptions, as I filled in the registration without any thoughts, ticking the box at the highest level. My motto is after all, use what ever you can use, and heat up the oven ! (Actually, that’s a little bit crude, as being the highest level donor means you might end up living another lifetime in the corridors of a university hospital. I myself carved up some decade old corpses during my Med year.)
But as a good deed, AND mostly because those pictures combining the facts are quite humorous, take a look at this website.

Addictive

Saturday, March 12th, 2005

Online Flash games. Mostly garbage, but sometimes you find one that’s simple and still quite addictive. Try Squares 2. My first try was above 12000 points, and it was proven a lucky shot, as subsequent retries usually reached half the score. Don’t try it at work though, I will not be held responsible for the wasted time spent on this.

Staying up ?

Monday, November 1st, 2004

I hear it all around me. People are going to stay up tomorrow to watch the live telecasts of the Presidential Election. Somehow, hours of counting votes, and assigning states to one or the other is exciting. And it’s not just late, with the time difference between the US and Europe, it’s practically an all-nighter.
Well, I really need my sleep, so I’ll just read the most objective poll to date again here, and guess I’ll find out in the morning anyways.
Oh, and for those who stayed up, I’ll be laughing my ass off if it’s gonna be a recount.

Garbage

Thursday, July 22nd, 2004

So, I’m browsing the web, you know, technology and stuff. So I tried to read up on the new overpriced sub-par iPod (when compared to the iRiver of course. When compared to a Casio FX-81 calculator, it’s kinda impressive), and I stumbled onto the MSN/MSNBC/Newsweek site. Try to read this article.

Have you ever seen so much garbage intertwined into an article, so that you stop reading it ? So much for a respectable journalistic reputation.

Hot Chick Alert

Sunday, May 30th, 2004

Take a look here. Yup, that’s Emmy Rossum, currently starring inThe Day after Tomorrow. Having only smaller movies till now, she kept a pretty low profile till now. Just one notch down the ladder from the likes of Jeniffer Love Hewitt and Jessica Alba (both talent and looks), she’s a hot chick nonetheless. Only one project is upcoming (Phantom of the Opera), maybe she likes the low profile.
More pictures here.

Free

Tuesday, May 25th, 2004

It’s free, and if your time is free too, you might wanna try this link.
It’s the MSN’s game Outsmart, basically a bunch of celebrity quizes where you actually play against the celebrity. MSN gets more traffic, hence be able to sell more ads. You get a bit of trivia. The celebrity get to plug his/her new cd or movie. And hey, it’s pretty fun. It almost seems unscripted {:)

Oh yeah, one more thing. The second American Express/Seinfeld/Superman webisode is finally online.

Hot Chick Alert

Sunday, May 2nd, 2004

Yupz, found one again. Take a look here and here. That’s Amy Smart. While having already a long list of credits, she kept it pretty low profile for now. Currently to be seen in Starsky & Hutch, she has only one more movie lined up for this year. More pictures can be found here.
Oh, and she’s my age, so back off y’all !

More fun

Thursday, April 8th, 2004

Sometimes, ads can be fun. Especially when you combine three funny dudes. First there’s director Barry Levinson (Wag the Dog, Rain Man, Bandits and such). Then you have Jerry Seinfeld. And last but not least. My main man Supez. Full name, Superman.
Combined, they’re doing a few short movies especially for American Express, only to be seen online, as it clearly doesn’t fit the 30 seconds window of advertisement on TV.

Go have fun here. One episode online, the other will be there shortly.

Back, without a vengeance

Thursday, March 18th, 2004

Yupz, she’s back. Janet Whoopson. Her new song from her new album has been released today and the videoclip can be seen here.
The song itself, I Want You, from her upcoming album Damita Jo (Damita who ?), is a slow paced, too laid back love song that best fits the nineties. Too bad we’re already in the 21st century.
Worst of all, in the video, she’s doing a walking, talking to herself thingy, with ALL her clothes ON at ALL times ! Can you imagine my disappointment ?

Ad surfing

Sunday, February 1st, 2004

If you’ve got too much time on your hands, you can surf you butt to Superbowl Ads and watch some of the most expensive advertisements ever. Currently, the 2004 ads are playing live, so only the previous years can be seen (click the year, then chose video). This year, a freakin’ $2.3 million will buy you a 30-second spot. Then again, it’s not that much if you consider you reach 135 million viewers at once, and a big chuck of that is only watching for the ads, not for the football itself !
