A first time for everything. Here’s a steel misprint, and hence the standard floppy bay can’t be used. Let’s hope it’s not a series defect, coz it takes a full 10 minutes of hacking and slashing to release the bay underneath it.

If it’s only one, why bother (don’t underestimate the cost of sending just one case) ? If it’s a series, of course it’s going back.

When the manual says: “For help assembling this computer, go to http://www.manufacturer.com slash help”, it doesn’t mean slash the whole damn case. Geez.
Besides, it’s not safe this way. What if the new owner wishes to build something in, he might hurt himself. Unless you’re planning to soften the edges around that. In that case, 3. Else: 1. You take your pick 😉

I’ll take the 3. Because this is the part where the end-user shouldn’t be. Only the real experts open it like this.
