His Everybody Loves Raymond sitcom got renewed on CBS for a last _shorter_ ninth season, for a record payroll, beating previous recordholders like Paul Reiser &#038; Helen Hunt, Tim Allen, Kelsey Grammer and Jerry Seinfeld.
